Chris Hemsworth, his wife Elsa Pataky and their three kids have been left devastated, after the family’s beloved dog Sunny ran away after being shocked by an electric fence.
The gorgeous and friendly groodle (a cross between a golden retriever and a poodle) is often seen out with the Hemsworth family around the Byron Bay area, and now friends and family are desperately leading a search for the gentle family dog.

Elsa’s friend Tracey Sparks posted a plea to find the dog on a Byron Bay community board, and flyers have been posted around town in the hope of finding her.
‘Update: Sunny is still missing, now approaching her second night lost,’ Tracey posted on Wednesday. ‘She ran off after getting a zap from electric fencing.’
‘She is a large cream Groodle, very friendly. Her hair is quite a bit longer than in the photo. Please call if you see her.’
Sunny’s missing dog poster describes the dog as being microchipped and a ‘much-loved family pet.’
Chris and Elsa – who have three kids, daughter, India Rose, seven, and twin sons, Tristan and Sasha, two – are holding out hope that the pet will be found safe and sound.
Sunny has appeared on Chris’ Instagram account in the past, with the star writing: ‘Had an epic “stare off” with this vicious beast today, neither of us gave an inch and both refused to back down, it went for seven hours and then she passed out.
‘We both have major respect for one another now but I’m pretty sure I’m top dog round these parts from here on #turfwar #neverbackdown.’
We hope that Sunny is found safe and sound soon.
