Charlie Pickering has apologised for an unfortunate on-air gaffe.
“Are you ready to count down to the magical moment, the only time it’s OK to kill a police officer… ah, kiss a police officer without asking?” Pickering said, as he counted down the last seconds of 2017 during ABC’s new year fireworks show.
But the comedian was quick to correct his mistake on-air and later apologised on social media.
“Apologies for the slip of the tongue at the end. And a big shout out to all of the police keeping us safe tonight,” he said.
