Sydney slimmer transforms body after 88kg weight loss

Jennifer Ognenovski felt like she was trapped with the body of an 80-year-old

A super slimmer student has unveiled her new bikini body after losing more than half her bodyweight.

Jennifer Ognenovski, 23, from Sydney, felt like she was trapped with the body of an 80-year-old until she transformed her diet and underwent surgery to remove excess skin.

She shed 88kg following a gastric sleeve two years ago to combat years of excess eating that stemmed from childhood.

The law student decided to go under the knife for weight loss surgery after fearing she wouldn’t be able to walk or may not even be alive for her graduation.

But after her rapid weight loss, she was left with over 6.4kg of skin hanging from her body that she said looked like ‘crinkled paper’ and a ‘melted candle.’

Last year she had surgery from Destination Beauty to remove all her loose skin and give her implants to transform her ‘saggy A-cups’ to a 32DD.

‘I lost 90kg, and yet, something I always dreamed of, like wearing a sleeveless top was still a dream and it was so disheartening. Not to mention the skin rashes it caused,’ Jennifer said.

‘I had over 1.3kg of skin removed from my arms, 3.5kg removed circumferentially from my abdomen and lower back, 1.2kg removed from my thighs and 400g removed from my breasts.

‘After that I developed a little thing called confidence, something I had never had or experienced before.

‘I was happy to wear things that I always dreamed of, despite the new scars that came with having the surgeries.

‘I was so proud of those scars, as they simply told a story of how I fought the obesity disease and came out stronger on the other end.’

Now at a healthy 70kg, she’s set to graduate with the body of her dreams later this year, has a boyfriend and even former bullies are congratulating her on the remarkable transformation.

Jennifer, who also works a customer relations officer, said: ‘I felt like I was an 80-year-old woman stuck in a 22-year-old’s body. I needed the skin removal surgery as the skin was affecting my everyday life.

‘The excess skin looked just like crinkled paper, scrunched up clothing and a melted candle.

‘I couldn’t buy clothing in my size as I had so much skin that I would need to alter the sizing and buy things that were too big for my frame to accommodate for the loose skin.

‘I finally feel how I was always meant to feel. There are days where I can’t comprehend or even begin to think of feeling any different to how I feel now.

‘I feel lighter. I am able to exercise, and lift the heavy weights like I always wanted, without being restricted by the loose skin.’

Now Jennifer is finishing her final semester of law school and can’t wait to graduate, having completely changed her life.

She said: ‘I never had a boyfriend before, despite people always saying that confidence attracts an individual.

‘I did date occasionally, but it always came down to me being too fat for anything to progress further.

‘I do, for the first time, have a boyfriend, who I truly believe loves me for me.

‘But I feel if I were bigger, my own self confidence would have gotten in the way, and I would never have met someone like him.’
