Just months after her sister tied the knot, Princess Beatrice is reportedly celebrating her engagement with a million-dollar diamond ring. Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s eldest daughter apparently said “yes” to boyfriend Edoardo Mozzi while the couple were in New York before the festive season.
While they were in Manhattan to make a low-key appearance at the Third Annual Berggruen Prize Gala, it is believed they managed to fit in a bit of shopping before the event.
Days earlier, the auction house Bonhams conducted a fine jewellery sale and it’s thought that Edoardo picked out a ring that’s perfect for a princess – featuring an 18-carat emerald-cut diamond – which sold for $1.17 million.
“Bea can’t stop staring at her new diamond ring and couldn’t be happier,” a source tells New Idea.
“She can’t wait to be a bride.”
Beatrice, 30, and real estate tycoon Edoardo, 34, have only been dating since last September.
However, until very recently
Edoardo had been living with his fiancee Dara Huang and their toddler son Christopher, known as ‘Wolfie’.
According to Dara’s parents, she learnt of her ex’s new relationship with the princess by seeing it in the newspaper.
