Love him or hate him, there’s no denying Josh is a good-looking guy.

People have likened him to Jim Carey, Seth McFarlane and Girls star Andrew Rannells.

However, the 25-year-old MKR villain hasn’t always looked like a bit of a celebrity.

“I was a very fat kid,” Josh admits.

“I was chubby and then one day I thought, ‘Stuff it, I am not doing this anymore, I don’t want to be the chubby kid’. And so I cut out carbs and I cut out sugar and I realised what I was doing was Paleo and so I went full, big into it and I lost so much weight, I toned right up.”

The outspoken home-schooled son of Christian missionaries says one of the toughest parts about competing on MKR was the fluctuating of his weight as he and brother Austin were forced to deviate from their usual Paleo diets.

“I think [our weight] went up and down,” Josh reveals.

“During the Instant Restaurant rounds, me and Austin both lost a lot of weight because it was so stressful and the eating times are very strange. We weren’t allowed to eat at most times.

“But then during the challenge phase, we put on a few kilos each because we were practising so much and we were eating our food.

“But now that we’re finished with My Kitchen Rules, me and Austin are Paleo.”
