Notorious Manson Family cult killer, Bobby Beausoleil has been rejected for parole, according to RadarOnline.com.
The 71-year-old is serving life behind bars for the murder of his friend Gary Hinman in 1969.
He was recommended for release by the Board of Parole Hearings in January but on April 26, 2019 the Governor of California, Gavin Newsom, reversed that decision, as he believes he would still pose a threat to society if released.
The Charles Manson follower killed music teacher Hinman in a gruesome murder over money and property he believed the musician owed his ‘Family’.
“Kind, gentle soul” Hinman was tortured for two days and Manson cut his face with a samurai sword before Beausoleil stabbed him in the chest and smothered him with a pillow. He was 34 when he died.
It was the first murder committed by the Family, which set in motion the cult’s Helter Skelter killing spree during 1969.
Beausoleil was convicted in 1970 and sentenced to death, which was later communicated to life in prison, when the Supreme Court of California issued a ruling that invalidated all death sentences issued in California prior to 1972.
Cult leader Charles Manson died in prison on November 19, 2017 at age 83.
