As Married at First Sight‘s finale draws near, rumors have been poking holes in the picture-perfect romance between Martha Kalifatidis and Michael Brunelli’s.
It was revealed on Monday that the Bondi-based makeup artist has secretly been meeting up with former contestant, Samuel Ball, ‘for months’.
They were also previously spotted on a ‘date’ within Byron Bay back in December, and they have reportedly been seeing each other regularly ever since.
According to a source, Sam and Martha “only had eyes for each other” as they were oblivious to anyone watching around them.
A second source said that they also spotted the pair on a date in Sydney in late February, where they acted very much like boyfriend and girlfriend.
“Even though they were doing their best to fly under the radar, at one point Martha got up and sat on Sam’s lap. They were being really affectionate with one another,” said the source.
Even though there have been reports that Martha and her MAFS husband Michael are still going strong – now we aren’t so sure…
While Martha and Sam are yet to confirm anything – Sam openly admitted that he finds 30-year-old gorgeous back in February.
“She’s quite happy in her relationship, and I wouldn’t want to intrude on that,” he said. “I thought a couple of the girls looked good, but I would never intrude on anyone, especially Michael and Martha’s relationship.”
We mean, who can we even trust anymore?
Fuelling that speculation, Sam has indeed made the big move to Sydney, exactly where Martha happens to live – Bondi Beach.
It also looks like the former tradie has made a career change into the modeling industry – for Martha?
We can’t even handle this right now – no wonder Michael has had a Britney Spears moment and shaved all his hair off.
But wait, there is more – Martha is said to have introduced Sam to her parents during her time in Byron. And they’re apparently smitten!
“While Michael impressed them, Sam has won them over, too,” the source reveals.
“Martha and Michael’s lives were just too different… I hate to say it, but their marriage was never going to work.”
The source reveals that we will get a real insight into the on-screen couple’s marriage at the upcoming two-part reunion, which was filmed in January, just weeks after Martha and Sam’s Byron dinner date.
“It’s very telling that when Cyrell [Paule] attacks Martha, she runs to Sam for protection, and not Michael,” dishes a source.
Again, poor bald Michael. We promise there are good girls out there!
