Today host Karl Stefanovic has put on a pair of budgie smugglers to commemorate this year ‘Ashes To Ordinary’ competition.
Taking to Instagram, the 44-year-old breakfast host shared a photo alongside co-host Georgie Gardner, and the members of Team Australia.
He captioned, “I’ll have what Dingo Dan up the back is having thanks. Sugarcane champagne.”
Dingo Dan is the caption of the Ashes to Ordinary’s Team Australia, and was the original winner of Budgie Smuggler’s annual competition – The Most Ordinary Rig.
Team Australia teammates Dan ‘Dingo’ Leyden, Sean Dixon, Nathan Byrne, spoke to the Today hosts about the upcoming competition.
The Ashes to Ordinary is a yearly competition that sees the ‘Top 3 Ordinary Rigs’ from the UK take on the ‘Top 3 Ordinary Rigs’ from Australia in a battle of ‘Ordinaryness.’
It’s described as a classic “Australia vs. England” series.
