Cassandra Thorburn has signed an ongoing deal with TEN and is set to work on a range of the network’s programs in the coming months, insiders reveal.
Following her outburst at Sydney Airport where she labelled ex-husband Karl Stefanovic a “narcissist”, Cass appeared on Studio 10, only fuelling rumours the author had signed a deal with the network.
“Negotiations are underway for Cass to be an intruder in Africa [I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here] and then full time on DWTS,” a source tells.
However, TV insiders have claimed the former journalist has said no to Africa but a “100 percent” to DWTS as part of her new TEN/CBS deal.
“She sees TEN as neutral ground between Seven and Nine,” a television source said.
The news of Cass’ TV gig comes after New Idea exclusively revealed the author let rip in an extraordinary outburst after Karl’s wedding to Jasmine Yarbrough.
As Cass arrived in Sydney after a weekend in Melbourne, she didn’t hold back.
“He’s thrown three weddings for goodness sake. Who needs three weddings in a year, give us a break,” Cass told a reporter at Sydney’s airport.
“Three weddings and a funeral. We had a funeral and it was my dad’s.”
Cass went on to claim her ex had “a lot to hide”.
“I’ve done a lot of reading about narcissism,” she added.
“Everything he says is about this fake person who lives in this fake castle, it’s not real,” Cass continued.
Karl is yet to comment on his ex-wife’s blistering attack.
