In a recent development, two Canadian teenagers are now suspected of killing Australian tourist Lucas Fowler and his partner Chynna Deese, along with a third unidentified man.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police have issued a manhunt for Kam McLeod, 19, and Bryer Schmegelsky, 18, in an “unprecedented appeal to the public.”

The teenagers first became connected to the case when their Dodge pickup was found burning near the dead body of an unidentified man.
Initially, they were believed to be missing, however, in light of new information, investigators now have an idea of their whereabouts.
“We now can confirm that they are travelling elsewhere in Canada and we’re asking everyone here locally in Canada to help us to locate them,” Shoihet told Today.

Fowler and Deese were left stranded on a highway after their Chevrolet van broke down on July 14.
The next day, the couple was found shot dead.
Fowler’s father is a senior NSW Police Officer and has been left “distraught” by the news of his son’s death.
“It really is the worst ever love story because we now have two young people who had everything ahead of them tragically murdered,” he said in a heartbreaking statement at a press conference in Canada yesterday.
The teens are believed to be armed and dangerous and driving a grey 2011 Toyota RAV4.
