Her skin is radiant and she appears to be wearing her pregnancy extremely well. New Idea spoke to expert and Obstetrician Dr Sgroi, to why this can happen to a woman when she is expecting.
“During pregnancy, the changes can be both super intriguing and overwhelming, especially when everyone seems to tell a newly pregnant woman how she is glowing - when often the changing body and carrying a developing baby feels exhausting,” he says.
According to Dr Sgroi almost all women will notice some changes during pregnancy, from the skin to hair and even nails.
“The gorgeous glow is due to several different things including changing hormone levels and the increase in blood volume in the body,” he adds.
“This increase in blood is what helps supply the growing baby with nutrition and as it circulates through the body it can make your face seem brighter. Nails also grow faster during gestation and hair becomes thicker and often shinier,” he adds.
Meghan and Prince Harry’s first child is due April 2019 and the sex of the baby is yet to be revealed.
