Prince Harry has shown his compassionate side at Bristol boxing club after one of the kids confided in him that he had lost a parent.

Upon hearing the news, the Duke of Sussex cleared the room so he could speak to the boy in private.

Harry, who lost his mother Princess Diana at age 12, spent 10 minutes comforting 12-year-old Iestyn Jones, who lost his dad seven years earlier.

“It just got a bit emotional because he mentioned something. He knew some stuff about me and the same thing happened to me. We had a chat for about 10 minutes,” Iestyn, from Kingswood near Bristol, said to reporters.

“When we had a group picture at the end he made sure I was standing next to him. They were lovely people. I didn’t expect them to be like that. They were amazing people.”

The prince has previously spoken about how he used boxing as a means to help cope with his grief – similarly to Iestyn.

Princess Diana passed away in August, 1997 in a car crash in Paris.

Both Harry and William have openly spoken about their grief for their late mother.
