Actress, singer, mother-of-two and Pantene spokesperson – somehow 41-year-old Natalie Bassingthwaighte’s natural beauty always seems to shine through. Here’s how she does it…

#1 What’s the biggest change in your beauty routine since becoming a mum?
As a working mum, I have a never-ending list of jobs to do, so have had to learn to refine my beauty routine down to the essentials. I need beauty products that work quickly to give me a boost and make me feel in control. But to me if it’s a great product I will use it.

#2 How do you keep your hair looking great? Do you ever have a bad hair day?
Having hair that is healthy and strong is the biggest thing for me, it makes it so much easier to handle on a day-to-day basis! but I’ve always had problems with frizz, especially in summer with the humidity! The only way I can combat this is keeping it healthy and nourished, I love the Pantene 3 Minute Miracle Repair and Protect Conditioner, $6.99. This is like a turbo conditioner that really injects the moisture back in and repairs damaged locks!

#3 Top skin concern?
I tend to be dry because of lots of travel and not enough sleep, my go-to solution is water and a hydrating serum.

#4 Makeup routine?
I just bought Eliss Faas Skin Veil Foundation, $104 – and mix it with an illuminating primer. Yves St Laurant Touch Eclat, $63. I have been using this for years and nothing beats it. A thick layer of mascara some contouring and a lip gloss and I’m good to go.

#5 Favourite beauty trick?
Contouring and highlighting – you can emphasise the good bits and hide the bad bits.

#6 What’s your favourite scent?
Chanel Mademoiselle, $123 (35ml).

#7 Beauty salon or DIY?

I think both come in handy.

#8 What’s the beauty philosophy?

Do what makes you feel fabulous. But be you!

#9 Who taught you the most about beauty?

All the amazing makeup artists I have had the privilege to work with.

# 10 Beauty advice you’d pass onto a younger you?

Stay Out of the Sun.
