‘I work in remote school attendance with a string of communities and schools out in South Australia,’ Jared says. ‘I work across a number of programs to entice kids to go to school.’
The sportsman says he fell into the job after mentoring and developing the younger guys at his local club, and his boss approached him to ask whether he was interested in getting into a similar line of work.
‘I wanted to be a mentor of some sort away from footy and it just worked out perfectly,’ the former footy star reveals.
