Friends star James Michael Tyler, who was best known for his role as Gunther, has passed away at the age of 59.
TMZ broke the news and revealed that the actor passed away peacefully Sunday morning at his home in L.A. after battling stage 4 prostate cancer.
"The world knew him as Gunther (the seventh "Friend"), from the hit series "Friends," but Michael’s loved ones knew him as an actor, musician, cancer-awareness advocate, and loving husband," a statement released by his family said.
"Michael loved live music, cheering on his Clemson Tigers, and would often find himself in fun and unplanned adventures. If you met him once you made a friend for life."
Sex And The City's Willie Garson, best known for his role as Carrie Bradshaw's close friend Stanford Blatch in the hit 90s series died in September following a cancer battle. The 57-year-old was due to appear in the Sex and the City reboot, titled And Just Like That which had kicked off filming in June and he was last spotted on set in July.
