The first photo shows a young Carrie with her mother enjoying a peaceful time together at a lake, we assume somewhere in Colorado.
The second photo shows Carrie and Jennie dressed up in cowgirl costumes... it looks like Carrie is sat on a chair to be shorter than her mum for the sake of the photo.
Fans quickly got to commenting on the throwback post.
"I’m just disappointed your hair isn’t crimped in the second pic 😂," one fan joked.
Another said, "Stop it! You and your mum are just too adorable ❤️."
We are holding out for more childhood photos for the two to recreate!
In April, Carrie Bickmore took to Instagram to share a sweet tribute dedicated to her mother.
Carrie’s mother retired early this year and so, she posted a heartfelt caption along with a few cute snaps of her and her mum.
The Carrie & Tommy host wrote:
“My amazing mama has just retired (I think she’ll [be] back 😉) after 50 years contribution to education. Mum you are a trailblazer, an inspiration, a shining star.”
“You did it all while raising kids, living and loving hard and all with a soft touch and huge smile. Enjoy the next chapter…whatever it may hold 💕,” Carrie concluded.
Fans were quick to comment on Carrie’s post and commended Carrie’s mum for her long career in education.
One fan commented, “50yrs contribution to anything is incredible. 50yrs contribution to education is absolutely inspirational. So many lives changed for the better. Thank you. ❤️,” while another said:
“Congratulations to your beautiful mother! My amazing mother also had an incredibly long career in education, and I respect and admire her for it, she was incredibly dedicated! She only retired because she absolutely had to - I think she would still be working now if she hadn't have stopped when she did. Shout out to all the wonderful, selfless people who work so hard to teach the next generation!”
WATCH: Carrie Bickmore announces she is leaving The Project
Just like her mother, Carrie recently left a job - although she obviously didn’t retire! In late November of last year, Carrie left The Project, which she had hosted for 14 years.
Carrie announced that she was stepping back from the show to spend more time with her family, although the 42-year-old still currently works on her radio show with Tommy Little.
