“It is so important to really start caring about yourself and your body,” says Josie, who weighed 127kgs when she was just 16.
“It’s amazing how self-love can change your life.”
Today, Josie is not only feeling better than ever, but she’s unrecognisable after shedding half her body weight by swapping sugar and junk food for healthy food options.
“Two weeks was all it took for me to stop craving sugar and start seeing results,” Josie shared on her Instagram account, adding she now follows an easy and clean meal plan which includes tasty options such as a Moroccan chicken salad, zucchini fritters and sweet potato fries.
“Investing in my health was the best decision I ever made,” Josie continued.
Josie is the first to admit she’s tried plenty of diets and fads in the past in an attempt to beat the bulge however none of them worked.
“I really wanted to be slim,” she explains.
“But I wasn’t mentally strong enough to say no to bad decisions.”
It wasn’t until Josie transformed her thought process that she was able to see physical changes.
“It’s crazy how much my body and mind have changed,” she says.
“I don’t want to touch a single piece of chocolate again in my life. That’s my choice. Living healthy is the best decision I have ever made."
So what’s Josie’s top tip to keeping on track for any weight loss journey?
“Take transformation photos rather than weighing yourself on the scales,” she explains.
“My transformation photos really kept me going.”
