A fresh inquest into the disappearance of William Tyrell has found that someone 'undoubtedly' knows the truth about what happened to the missing toddler, Yahoo! News reports.
Little William was three years old when he vanished without a trace from the garden at the back of his foster grandmother's house on Benaroon Drive in Kendall on New South Wales' north coast on September 12, 2014.
The child was visiting the area with his foster parents and sister and since he disappeared no trace of William nor an abductor has been found.
In September 2016, two years to the day of his disappearance, the NSW government offered a record-breaking reward of $1 million dollars for William's recovery.
The NSW Coroners Court heard today that while various pieces of information had come to light in the intervening years, some of the claims had been "designed to waste police's time".
Counsel assisting the coroner Gerard Craddock SC stressed there is "somebody out there who knows more and who has not been in contact [with the authorities] yet."
Mr Craddock called on the public to come forward with any information they have and said the investigation is ongoing.
The inquest into the boy's disappearance will resume on August 5.
