Given that it's been a relief to learn that a simple yet devastatingly chic shade is the look du jour for the upcoming season.
Like we said - if Posh says it's what we all ought to be wearing then it's a fashion fact - pure and simple.
She wore hers on her toes, which were peeking out of a pair of very fashionable black boots. They looked adorable of course and we plan to have our toes coated in the very same hue the moment we can snaffle a seat at the local nail salon.
We might even get our fingernails painted in the same shade because, well, matching.
If we end up applying at home (we dream of the salon but in reality it can be impossible to find the time let alone the cash), we will follow the standard rules and ensure we apply a base coat first and a top coat post colour. That way our lacquer will be seriously shiny and better still, will last for longer.
The pros at Mavala recommend you wear gloves when doing the dishes, gardening or any other activity that could cause chipping. Do all that and your perfectly pretty nails should stay looking good for seven to 10 days at least.

We love OPI Nail Lacquer in Big Apple Red, $19.95. It goes on easy, has a nice, wide brush making application seriously speedy and the colour is heaven. It may even be the exact hue VB is wearing above. Just saying.
Next up, Rimmel Super Gel Nail Polish in Darling Dahlia, $9.95. This sweet lacquer provides a gel-like finish without the hassle of a UV light. The colour is gorgeous and the price is most definitely right.
Finally, we're big fans of Smith & Cult Nailed Lacquer Nail Polish in Kundalini Hustle, $32.95. First, there's the name - which is undeniably epic but so is the quality of this polish which provides mirror-like shine and lasts longer than any polish we've ever tried before. And that colour! VB herself would definitely approve.
