Those nails were, of course, dotted with cow print patterns meaning that the strange manicure formerly sported by the very experimental only had moved into the fashionable beauty world.
You see, if Kendall is spotted wearing something then pretty soon we will all be doing so. At least, that's how things have rolled in the past. We're not entirely certain this beauty look will travel at quite the same speed however. I mean - it's cow print! Still ... we've been wrong before and hey - we're likely to be again.
So back to this manicure trend ...
We weren't fully sold on it when it started appearing on the social media feeds of the uber cool. We weren't even entirely on board when Kendall shared her snaps. But then we spotted (get it!) the very same pattern applied to the talons of none other than singer Ariana Grande.
Then we knew it was really on for young and old. Well, definitely young anyway. Kendall's cow pattern manicure was a striking black and white and, we will begrudgingly admit, was a little on the chic side.
It's hard to say what colour lacquer Ariana opted for as her picture was posted in black and white.
She did however only sport the look on one finger only which, we all know is seriously fabulous. We also reckon it is a terrific way to try this trend without going overboard.
The other way to give it a test run is to ask your manicurist to apply it but in a pretty pink or even red combination. This looks more like creative design than, well, a cow.
Frankly we think that might be a positive. Up to you of course.
One last tip - if you are going to have a crack at this detailed nail look, ensure your nails are in good nick.
You can get them that way by applying a regular nail treatment which will harden nails and minimise breakage. Try Mavala Scientifique, $19.95. This clever clogs formula hardens the nail plate and restores the nail's normal growth and it works fast.
