Beaming and clearly overjoyed, Prince Harry confirmed the birth of his son, who was reportedly delivered at Frogmore cottage where Meghan opted to have a home birth.
And while fans were hoping the couple would announce a name for the newborn, Harry revealed that the pair were yet to decide on one.
"We're still thinking about names," he told awaiting media outside of his home.
"The baby's a little bit overdue so we've had a little bit of a think about it, but that's the next bit."
Harry also took the time to praise his wife, who went into labour at around 1am on Monday morning.
"How any woman does what they do is beyond comprehension," the doting dad said.
"I'm so incredibly proud of my wife."
Today, Buckingham Palace also announced that Meghan's mother, Doria Ragland, is currently with her daughter and her grandson.
"The duchess's mother, Doria Ragland, who is overjoyed by the arrival of her first grandchild, is with their Royal Highnesses at Frogmore cottage."
Baby Sussex is seventh-in-line to the throne.
