Harry and pregnant Meghan – now the Duchess of Sussex – were given the two white baby rompers – one carrying the slogan “piece of my heart” – by staff and volunteers at Lifeline Aotearoa.
The 24-hour crisis service offers free community helplines and text message support to people in New Zealand.
The Duke and Duchess received the touching gift as they visited the Maranui Café – an iconic dining establishment in Wellington.
At the café, Meghan spoke about the pressures social media puts young people under.
“You see photos... and you don’t know whether she’s born with it or maybe it’s a filter,” the Duchess said.
“Your judgement of your sense of self-worth becomes really skewed when it’s all based on likes.”
