Revealing how she makes them, Jenny says she uses puff pastry, 500ml ready made custard - she uses the Coles long life one - 1 beaten egg, 1/2 cap vanilla essence and a pinch of nutmeg.
Jenny adds: ‘Blind bake puff pastry from cold for 4 mins. Mix custard, eggs and vanilla together. Add custard mixture to pastry and cook for 8 minutes or until custard is firm. Sprinkle with nutmeg.’
Simple as that? And another bonus - they’re gluten-free, which was a big bonus for Jenny.
She writes: ‘I feel like I've been missing them so long decided to give them a try.. So pleased with how they turned out!
‘Now they look like a custard tart, my favourite. 😁’wroteone.Addedanother:‘Yummy 😋!! Get in my tummy!’

‘[I used] the Coles gluten free pastry.. It goes slightly brown.. Then goes browner in the further baking.. They'll still look a little soft after the blind bake. But crispen up later!’
Not surprisingly, the recipes got the big tick of approval from the awesome group’s other members.
