The soundbite Michael is referring to was from a Today segment back in December 2018, when Pauline was interviewed by Deborah Knight, and blamed the show's poor ratings on Karl's sacking.
After Deborah pressed Pauline on her falling support ahead of the election, the Queensland Senator swiped straight back at the presenter.
"I've actually gone up since the last election, unlike your show, Deb, since you have taken over you have gone down in your viewership," Pauline said.
"So, should you hand over your job or should we bring Karl back? Should we bring Karl back? You have a go at me about this all the time."
