Speaking to 9Honey, Jackie revealed that another family trip to Fiji was the wake-up call she needed to kickstart her weight-loss transformation.
‘We were boarding the helicopter flight that would take us to one of the islands,’ she said. ‘They make you weigh in beforehand and having not weighed myself in a long time, I was mortified to see that I was the heaviest I had ever been.’
Jackie added that the experience left her feeling insecure, covering up in a kaftan while everyone else wore bikinis.
‘I only had myself to blame though, I had spent the last 12 months eating nothing but macaroni and cheese, sandwiches and potato chips,’ she said.
She explains that once she returned from her holiday, she gave up all carbs and sweets – replacing her junk food diet with lots of clean protein and vegies.
‘For lunch I would eat sashimi and a seaweed salad and dinner consisted of chicken and steamed greens and a glass of wine,’ she told 9Honey.
She reveals that her exercise regime was far less strict, opting for the occasional Brazilian jiu jitsu session over the gym.
‘I believe that diet is 80 per cent food and 20 per cent exercise, so I only exercise when I feel like it.’
If those sizzling photos are anything to go by, it’s certainly working for her!'
