While Pete and Courtney have the grand final on their minds. They are making a cubby for the girls to play as an element in their front yard.
Jamie Durie arrived on site for the golden shovel cash dash challenge time. There is $5,000 up for grabs and the challenge involves throwing balls from a wheelbarrow into a cement mixer while other teams try to block them.
Lisa and Andy win the trophy, the cash and the power to make a game changing decision by getting to decide who does the 48 hour fix-up room which is revealed as Harper’s bedroom.
If the judges declare the room a success they get 3 points, if it is a fail they lose 3 points. Since Lisa and Andy did the room last week, they are exempt.
They debate a strategic decision with Pete and Courtney closer to them on the leader board. Tim and Mat don’t want the fix up room as they feel too far behind with their garden zone after changing their BBQ design in the late stages.
Lisa and Andy declare they have never gone strategic before but it’s the pointy end of the competition and they have to look after themselves.
Pete and Courtney are too much of a threat if they get the extra 3 points, so they give the fix up room to Tim and Mat.
Lisa explained, “At the end of the day if those teams were in our shoes, they would have thought of themselves first.”
