Nate and Dani
The first couple to head home were the very quiet Nate and Dani.
We really didn’t get to see much of these guys this season which is a shame because it sounds like they got along really well.
“You just don't see everything that happens on camera is the thing… They left out a heavy chunk of stuff,” Nate said when he and Daniella sat down with Who.
“A lot of it for me was the way I helped out, the connections that we made - especially with Nate,” Dani revealed.
“We connected in the first mixer, he was the first Geek that I spoke to… there was a reason as to why we got put together and it's because of the connection we had.”
The pair have remained friends since filming ended.
Sam and Angelique
We were SHOOK when Sam and Angelique headed home at the second elimination.
Sam and Angie were a popular duo, boasting the first kiss of the 'experience'.
After leaving the show, Sam told New Idea that Angelique had a real impact on him.
“I would say I was quite confident before going on the show, but in a fake sense, I was putting on a version of myself, but coming out, I'm definitely much more confident,” he said.
“I love who I'm becoming. I'm very confident and I'm very happy and it was definitely all because of the Angelique in the show.”
As for whether they’re still together, he was less forthcoming.
“I won't go into too much detail. Because I want everyone to see it when it comes out, ‘cause it's very fun. But we do still talk a lot. It's still very good.”
Guess we’ll have to wait till the reunion to find out more.
Alex and Sophie
This was definitely one of the more heartbreaking eliminations of the season, both bookworm Alex and future PM Sophie were in tears.
After struggling with the dog show challenge the two faced a very tough elimination battle against Emily and Jason. Unfortunately Alex forgot why Sophie wears goggles in the shower (to protect her eyelash extensions) and their beer pong skills let them both down as they missed the mark in the tossing challenge.
On their way out Sophie said to Alex, “everything you do from here on out, I’ll be there with you.
“That’s why we have to get matching tattoos.”
Let’s hope they post them on Instagram!
Jayden and Aimee
It was devastating to say goodbye to the rambunctious Aimee and perpetually uncomfortable Jayden - but someone’s gotta go.
After failing to impress Queen Sophie in the knights challenge, they were called forth for a nail biting elimination battle, eventually losing by just one point.
"I loved every second of my time on @BATG. I've grown so much as a person, had the best time in the world and above all, have walked away with 19 new, and incredible, best mates," Jayden wrote on Instagram.
"I would not change a thing about my experience... except the fact that I wish I could have kept going."
We will miss them both, and especially Aimee’s amazing laugh!
Mike and Heidi
We expected the loved up duo Mike and Heidi to make it all the way to the final but alas it was not to be.
Failing to impress during the TikTok challenge, the couple then lost the elimination quiz to Christopher and Bri. The entire cast seemed to share in their disapointment as there wasn't a dry eye in the room.
"I can honestly say that this experience has been the best thing I have ever done in my entire life & I will forever be proud of myself and the rest of the crew for being brave, putting ourselves out there and doing something crazy," Heidi said on Instagram after the episode aired.
Mike added: "While all good things must come to an end, this is only just the beginning…"
Jason and Emily
After going on their first date the previous episode it felt too soon to say goodbye to boisterous Emily and her quiet geek Jason.
In a nail biting elimination quiz the pair lost out to Tegan and Anthony by just one point in the final round.
The two have formed a close bond in the competition with Jason helping Emily learn to love herself and Emily teaching Jason how to come out of his shell.
"Simply learning how to exist on a reality show while trying to remain true to myself was a process of overcoming psychological challenges and self-discovery," Jason said after his exit.
Michael and Tara
For keen eyed fans, Michael and Tara’s exit wasn’t a surprise. But that didn’t make their elimination any less heartbreaking.
Our favourite lovebirds didn’t quite hit the mark in the Big Night Out challenge, and then failed to do so again during the elimination battle, losing by one point to Tegan and Anthony.
“We want to say a huge thank you to every single person who was on this whirlwind journey with us. We are so grateful to each and every one of you for the support, the friendship and the memories we’ve made. We adore you all,” Tara wrote on Instagram.
We can both walk away tonight saying it has been the best experience of our lives. We are grateful for every moment we had.”
