We all know the African bush is no place for shrinking violets, but these Aussie tourist got a bit more than they bargained for during a visit to South African when they were charged by a raging male elephant.

Viral iPhone video of the incident, which has emerged online, shows the group of surprisingly calm tourists – believed to include a number of Australians –not losing their minds as the enraged animal charged the vehicle, with the driver attempting to get out of its way – by flooring it in reverse!
The creature didn’t seem satisfied by the hasty retreat and did not give up – continuing the pursuit despite the driver’s best efforts. The video cuts out before the resolution is revealed, although the existence of the video indicates we can probably assume the encounter ended safely.
The video has created a sensation online, with one commenter praising the driver for their ability to 'floor it in reverse and still not topple over'.
Another commenter added, 'You can tell they're Australian because of the accent but mainly because they're not screaming.
'Takes more than an elephant to get an Aussie sheila to scream.'
