Insiders have previously claimed that the reasons for him not seeing Suri is that her mother Katie Holmes is no longer a Scientologist and is considered a ‘suppressive person’ and Tom would need to disconnect from her and those close to her, including his daughter.
An insider told the publication that “he follows doctrine to the letter and has chosen to cut off his non believer wife. Unfortunately Suri was collateral damage.’
Legal analyst Jeffery Steinberger says “as long as the lawsuit proceeds, he’s not going to be able to stop a deposition. And they can ask all personal things that Tom does not want to be disclosed.”
Despite the claims, insiders told New Idea that Suri recently reunited with Tom, after Katie's rumoured split from partner Jamie Foxx.
“Suri has made a decision that she wants to spend more time with her dad,” says a family source. “Now she’s 12, she’s decided she wants to have more of a relationship with him and has really been pushing her mum to let her see him.”
