‘A filling made from Amalfi lemon curd and elderflower buttercream ties all the elements together.
‘The cake is decorated with Swiss meringue buttercream and 150 fresh flowers, mainly British, and in season, including peonies and roses,’ the palace tweeted.
The cake will be cut at the reception – where Meghan is set to give a speech, the palace said.
The royal bride is one of three people to speak at the lunchtime reception, hosted by the Queen.
The others are her new husband, Prince Harry, and the Prince of Wales.
The Duke of Cambridge, Harry’s best man, will act as compere.
The reception will also include the cutting of the wedding cake.
