One of her favourite horses tragically died over the Christmas break.
HP Keston, one of the horses who often escorted The Queen on her carriage rides, was announced dead on January 2.
The Metropolitan Police released a statement announcing the heartbreaking news on Twitter.
"It's with the greatest of sadness to announce that PH Keston has passed away. PH Keston regularly escorted HM The Queen on various state events and other high-profile occasions,” it read.
“He was a real crowd pleaser with people around London. Thank you for your service Keston. Rip.”
And, to make matters worse this tragedy comes less than three months after her last beloved corgi passed away.
The news is sure to have saddened The Queen, who has had a passion for horses since she was a young child.
Over the years, she has become a patron of many organisations that focus on horses including the British Horse Society.
She also has a great passion for horse racing and is regularly seen attending the races at Royal Ascot.
