While on the premiere episode of the series, fans likened her to Married At First Sight’s villain Davina Rankin.
Vanessa Sunshine and Davina are destined to be friends,' tweeted one. Another wrote: 'Vanessa is just Davina 2.0'.
And some were left questioning whether her name Vanessa Sunshine was actually real or simply a stage one after she repeatedly told the other girls in the mansion her name.
A few days later a photo taken in 2013 for Silk of Morocco emerged on Facebook with her as the model credited by the name of Vanessa Bennet which suggests the cat-loving temptress has potentially given herself a new moniker.
Meanwhile, the brunette who lives by the motto ‘revenge is sweet,’ has already ruffled a few feathers in The Bachelor house.
‘I don't think I'm the life of the party, I KNOW that I am,' she stated.
'Some people might call it sassy, I just think that it's confidence,' she added. 'People get thrown by that. However, at the end of the day, I couldn't care less.'
The Bachelor star Nick Cummins on the other hand seems to be intrigued, with him confessing to the cameras: ‘Vanessa, she’s beautiful… I just don’t know if I should be running or chasing.’
Last year’s Bachelor villain Jen Hawke dished some sage advice to the season’s new player stating: ‘Big shoes to fill. Good luck!’
Adding: 'When the public backlash comes, surround yourself with people who love you and know who you actually are.'
But judging but Vanessa’s bolshy behaviour so far, it appears public backlash is something she won’t have trouble dealing with!
Question is, how long will she last in The Bachelor household?
