The reality TV star has been released from custody after allegedly attacking a door with a machete while her partner was on the other side, cradling their one-year old son James.
He also claims she took a handful of pills and threatened to kill herself, and struck him on the head with a shoe.
Portwood has seemingly cast new light on their conflict by posting the telling message, 'Cheating is a choice not a mistake,’ before deleting it.
The posting follows claims by a source close to the couple that things were not great between Glennon and Portwood before the machete incident.
'For the most part, it has been good, but lately a few issues have popped up that made her question things and challenge her trust in him,’ a source told Us Weekly.
'She has been through a lot. She just wants to be able to trust someone, and there have been major issues.'
Portwood’s child custody arrangements are now reportedly being reviewed following the drama. Glennon is now seeking full custody of their son, as well as child support from the reality TV star.
He has claimed she should not be allowed unsupervised parenting time, citing her 'frequent refusal and/or failure to take medicines prescribed to treat her mental-health conditions, among other concerns.'
After a decade on the show, it now seems that Portwood’s reign is over.
'It's way too much of a risk for a show to keep someone on the air with this kind of propensity for violence,' a production source told TMZ .
'Because if she snaps again and the child gets hurt, the show will have hell to pay.'
