As far as grandmothers go, Queen Elizabeth certainly holds a great deal of clout in her household.
So when Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson presented their first child to the monarch, Andrew's mum didn't hold back with her opinion on the name they had chosen for their baby girl.

According to reports, just after the birth in 1988, the Duke and Duchess of York were unable to agree on what to call their daughter, and so the Queen put her foot down.
The Sun claimed in 1988 that Andrew and Fergie wanted to call their first born Annabel.
However Queen Liz, who must approve royal names, rejected it, apparently calling it too “yuppie”.
The Queen could have been thinking of the Mayfair private club, Annabel's (a favourite haunt of 1980s London yuppies) when she vetoed the moniker.
Eventually, two weeks after her birth, their daughter's name Beatrice Elizabeth Mary was announced.
According to reports, Her Majesty is said to have suggested the name Beatrice, which was also the name of Queen Victoria's youngest child.
And with Elizabeth as one of Beatrice's middle names, even the Queen couldn't argue with that!
