Mum killed four-year-old daughter while high on meth
A mother who killed her four-year-old daughter in a car accident admitted she had methamphetamine in her system.
Kylie Anne Hie, 34 from Adelaide, crashed her car in 2013, killing her daughter Charlotte May-Grace.
The Advertiser reports Kylie was on her way home form a funeral when her car ran into the back of a truck while trying to overtake a 40-tonne vehicle.
Charlotte was in the front passenger seat.
The mother appeared in Adelaide District Court on Wednesday and pleaded guilty to aggravated death by dangerous driving.
Prosecutor Carmen Matteo said Kylie was seen driving erratically before the crash.
'… (She) failed to judge, or misjudged the time and space she had to move out from behind the semi-trailer,' she said.
'It was an appreciably risk driving manoeuvre to do.'
