‘I think a lot of people weren’t happy with either team in the grand final. There were a lot of people saying that Henry and Anna, and Olga and Valeria should have been in it.
‘We don’t want that in our lives so we’re just not paying attention to all of the people around us. People just jump on board and want to hate’
Emily, 27, in particular received a lot of backlash through out this season for the way she handled stressful situations.
‘I’m crazy, a crazy little pocket rocket energizer bunny,’ she admits.
‘I’ve got so much energy and sass. You name it and I’ve probably got it.
‘People say how badly I treat Alex but honestly, from the bottom of my heart, I adore him.’
As for the rumours of a rift between Melbourne mums Kim and Suong, Emily confirms there was tension between the pair in the lead up to the grand final.
‘They were struggling during a few of the cooks prior to the grand final. They were clashing a little bit,’ Emily explains.
‘I know that there was a little bit of tension between them. They couldn’t move past it.’
It also seems there may be tension between Alex and Emily and Suong.
‘We haven’t spoken to them yet but we’re very close to Kimmy,’ Alex says.
Drama aside, how do the couple of four years plan to spend their $250,000 prize money?
‘We’re thinking a pop up over summer before we do anything permanent,’ Alex, 35, reveals.
‘We want cocktails and matching food. We’re all about shared food and grazing food.’
And are those wedding bells we hear?
‘Overnight I can certainly say there’s been no proposal,’ Emily says, laughing.
‘It’s some thing we want to do but weddings are expensive and you need money!
‘I’m leaving in Alex’s court though, I am not controlling this situation. I have already been told I’m a control freak during this show so I’ve got to leave this one to him.’
