Meghan revealed she is due to give birth in late April, and that neither she or Prince Harry know the bub's gender yet as they want it to be a 'surprise'.
"We asked her how her pregnancy was going and she said she was six months and she tapped her tummy," fan Carla Gand told People.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex gave their well wishes to fans for their first official outing this year.
Meghan looked stunning in a purple Aritzia dress and red coat by Sentaler.
During their visit, the couple visited a variety of community-run charities, including Tomorrow’s Women Wirral and Feeding Birkenhead, where they toured around a citizens supermarket.
According to the Daily Mail, local resident Kim Thompson said: "Meghan said that one of her friends had [given birth] five weeks early and [the midwife] said the baby comes when they are ready.
"I said, as long as they are healthy, and Meghan agreed. Then she said, pointing to Harry, 'He's going to make a fantastic father'."
