When Meghan Markle arrived with Prince Harry for a charity performance of Hamilton in London on August 30, the Duchess of Sussex stirred up headlines after her tuxedo dress showed her already slim frame looking even slimmer.
A source estimates to Star that in four months the duchess has shrunk to just 45kgs.
The former actress has had to deal with constant scrutiny while adapting to her new role, which would be worrisome enough, but insiders now claim to Star that the stakes are even higher - Meghan might already be pregnant with Harry's first child.
'The word is that they started trying right after the wedding,' a source claims to Star, and 'there are whispers that they could be expecting already.'
'They've been longing to become parents since they met,' adds the source.
The source adds to Star the new couple aren't entirely in control of their own family planning.
'Meghan has been under a lot of pressure to have kids, and fast!' they say. 'She just turned 37, and the palace has been reminding her that she shouldn't waste any time if she wants to have a family.'
Before walking down the aisle on May 19, Meghan was understandably under pressure; but friends are concerned she hasn't rebalanced her priorities in the months since.
'Her friends were hoping she'd relax after she said 'I do',' says a friend. 'But she's been so busy with royal duties and with wanting to impress the Queen with her knowledge and dedication to the family.'
Instead of slowing down, Meghan has continued to jam-pack her schedule.
The duchess, alongside Harry, is about to embark on a royal tour.
The couple will visit Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga.
'She's got a lot on her place, and she's hardly sleeping!' a friend tells Star.
