Married At First Sight producers reportedly axed a groom from the upcoming seventh season just days before filming began.
Wil Karroum told The Daily Mail he was rejected in an email on September 4 because relationship experts 'could not find a match' for him after five months of being ‘strung along’ by casting agents and producers.
The 40-year-old was informed that 'over 1,000 gay people had applied this year’ and was shocked that the experts could not find him a match amongst so many applicants.

“I understand rejection is a part of life, but I feel like I've been played as a fool and had a carrot dangled in front of me,” said Wil.
The Melbourne-based actor believes he has been 'played as a fool,’ telling the publication that he had even postponed a move to the Gold Coast and cancelled a trip to America after producers told him to ‘be patient.’
“I foolishly believed the process and I genuinely want to find love. I'm a gay Muslim man and I get no support from my family, I need all the help I can get,” he said.
Wil claimed that during a meeting with MAFS Executive Producer Tara McWilliams (as well as a cameraman and other executive producers) he was asked whether he'd feel more comfortable attending the boys' or girls' night if he successfully made it onto the show, before conversation moved to his desired sexual position.
'They also asked if I'd be afraid of the backlash from both the Muslim and Lebanese communities across Australia,' he added.
According to the Daily Mail, Wil believes his attempt at finding love was axed so producers could "cast more headline-worthy contestants."
The news comes after Nine Network announced they had officially axed plans to bring back Married At First Sight's sister show, Talking Married.
A source told TV Blackbox that the decision was made “out of concern for the mental health of those involved.”
