‘It [travelling] was something I’d thought about doing for a very long time,’ Kate explains of her decision to go abroad without Stuart and the couple’s daughter, Mae, three.
‘But I think I’m done now. I’ve ticked that box. I did the Italian escapade, but I’m done...I’m moving on.’
In a sign the couple’s marital woes are on the mend, Kate recently shared a picture of the pair on Instagram for the first time in months.
The selfie snap not only shows the couple with their puppy, Maccy – who sadly passed away – but Stu is also sporting his gold wedding band, further dispelling rumours of a separation.
Kate and Stu tied the knot in 2010. Four years later, the couple welcomed daughter Mae into the world.
‘I want to spend every minute with her,’ Kate says of being a mum.
As for turning 40 today, Kate isn’t fazed and says she is looking forward to a fresh start in this new chapter.
‘It’s a number, so I’m not that worried about it,’ she says. ‘It is important to celebrate all the things that make you whole.’
