News.com.au reported that the Duchess of Cambridge fired a loyal assistant by the name of Sophie Agnew just after she returned from her honeymoon.
According to Yahoo, the 32-year-old was in charge of Kate's personal assistants and had worked for the Cambridge family for seven years until she was made redundant last week.
Sophie was often seen accompanying Prince William and Kate on their engagements, such as their 2014 royal tour of Australia and New Zealand.
The former royal aide had just returned from her honeymoon after marrying Stuart Hill, an insurance company director, according to The Sun.
A source told the Daily Mailthat Sophie's close friends and family were shocked to hear she has been fired so soon after her wedding.
Rebecca Deacon and Sophie Agnew were both prominent staffers for Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge before their employment became terminated.

“Sophie worked so hard for Kate. She loved her job and made a lot of sacrifices,” a friend told the publication.
“Everyone's been really shocked because it was so unexpected. It seems like extreme cost-cutting.”
Sources also told the Daily Mailthat her termination of employment was a result of the split between William and Kate, and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Earlier this year, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle moved out of Kensington Palace to live at Frogmore Cottage in Windsor.
"It is true that Sophie has left after seven years of service," the source said.
"Her role has been made redundant as a result of the split of the households. She will not be replaced."
