8. Sporting Style
Kate is renowned for being sporty and she showed her prowess on a soccer field in Northern Ireland wearing her favourite pair of Fresh Foam Cruz sneakers by New Balance and a quilted Barbour Longshore jacket. Paired with a pair of black skinny jeans, it's an outfit that's says athletic and stylish at the same time.
7. Understated and Elegant
Royal Ascot is one of the social events of the year in England and is awash with racing fans and socialites trying to out do each other with most over-the-top outfits and, of course, fascinators. Kate opted for a typically understated look that turned heads; a blue Elie Saab dress with a sheer bodice and sleeves over a matching slip topped off with a charming Philip Treacy fascinator with a large flower tucked underneath.
6. Outdoors type
A visit to a school garden was perfect opportunity for Kate to wear some her favourite casual country clothes. She's favoured Penelope Chilvers Tassel Boots for over a decade, perfect for a princess who's not afraid to get her hands dirty. The duchess also wore an olive sweater on top of a printed silk Joseph blouse with a khaki jacket by the Swedish fashion house Fjällräven. Tan biker skinny jeans from Zara round out the outfit.
5. A day at the Tennis
Another knockout frock from the world's most stylish princess! Kate looks stunning in this light blue 'Jordin' midi dress by Emilia Wickstead with a square neckline. The simple outfit is accessorised with pearl earrings, classic Rayban sunnies, Aldo pumps and a colourful embroidered clutch.
4. Maternity style
Being pregnant doesn't stop Kate from looking incredible and wearing fantastic outfits like this animal print maternity dress from Hobbs. This dress is also an indicator that Kate knows what she likes and isn't afraid to recycle an outfit if it suits her needs. She first wore this stylish maternity dress in 2013 when pregnant with Prince George.
3. Coat dress and Pumps
On Anzac Day 2019 the Duchess of Cambridge, accompanied by brother-in-law Prince Harry, attended the service at Westminster Abbey in an outfit that again showed off her fabulous understated fashion sense. The star of the outfit was a teal Catherine Walker coat dress and she accompanied that with her favourite green Emmy London pumps, Kiki Mcdonough jewellery and a Rosie Olivia fascinator.
2. Formal Floral
Of all the fashion designers Kate admires, the late Alexander McQueen is probably number one. She particularly likes his floral floor length gowns and she wore this one to the 2019 National Portrait Gallery Gala. Worth around $20, 000, she wore a similar (and similarly stunning) floral shoulderless gown to the 2017 BAFTAs.
1. A moving tribute
When visiting the Taj Mahal in 2016 the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge decided they would be photographed in the seat made famous by Princess Diana in 1992. For the Taj Mahal visit, Kate wore this gorgeous dress from Indian/American designer Naeem Khan's 2015 resort collection, it again shows off Kate's eye not only for fashion but the moment itself.
