The iconic Ayers Rock replica at the old Leyland Brothers World theme park has gone up in flames, just metres from a nearby petrol station.
Footage of the huge fire has emerged.
NSW Rural Fire Service said the structure is 'completely alight' and fire crews were protecting nearby fuel storage facilities on site.
A spokesperson for the fire service told Daily Mail that the fire stared at 7:15pm and 18 fire crews are still currently on site.
The 'fake' Uluru is a popular location for school camps, attended by thousands of students each year.
The Great Aussie Bush Camp, in a Facebook post, confirmed the roadhouse was on fire but said there were no students on site.
'News is reporting that the Ayres Rock Roadhouse at Tea Gardens has caught fire, this is correct,' the post said.
'There are no students onsite at our Tea Gardens centre at this time and the property is untouched by the fire.
'It was a mighty big fire to tell a camp story around all the same.'
Many have taken to the social media post to reminisce about their time at the camp.
'Remember the Great Aussie Bush Camp', one person said, while another commented: 'remember Leyland Brothers world and the rock?'
