Home and Away star Lynne McGranger has revealed that she receives some out there messages from some of her male fans.
The 66-year-old told UK’s Daily Star that social media has opened up a new avenue of communication for fans of the soap.
EXCLUSIVE: Quick questions with Home and Away's Lynne McGranger and Courtney Miller
'With social media people can contact you directly and some of the messages do surprise me. Some of them are weird,' Lynne revealed.
'I have young male followers who can be a little bit flirty and a little bit weird sometimes. I think they're all young men who obviously have a mother complex.'
Back in June Lynne - known as Irene Roberts on the long-running soap - accidentally made a hilarious Instagram gaffe.
The actress made two attempts to upload a video to the social media platform, but instead posted two screenshots of a video.
“I’m hopeless!! This is supposed to be a video!! Help!!” wrote Irene.
Fans were quick to question exactly what McGranger - who plays Irene Roberts on the hit show - was trying to achieve.
“Was this the image that was sent to you to show you how to make the video not cropped when you upload it?” wrote one fan.
Another added: “What the flamin hell are you trying to do Irene”.
A third user wrote: “Aw bless... this is something my mum would do... You are Australia's 'mum' Lynne”.
