Later, Jasmine updates Irene (Lynne McGranger) on their encounter, saying she blames herself for sending Robbo mixed messages.
Their relationship is meant to be purely platonic, the young nurse tells Irene.
Irene suggests that Jasmine try to distance herself from Robbo, yet Jasmine clearly isn’t keen on this option, leading Irene to question Jasmine’s true feelings for the ex federal officer.
Meanwhile, Robbo has a candid chat with Colby (Tim Franklin) about the situation when Colby picks up on Robbo’s dark mood. Colby encourages Robbo to focus on his new business venture as owner of the gym.
‘Robbo has crawled back into his shell,’ says Jake. ‘He thinks he’s made a really dumb mistake with Jasmine. He’s also worried he may have ruined what was a great friendship. After all, Jasmine is pretty much his only mate in the Bay.’
With his mind made up, Robbo asks Jasmine to take a walk with him. And she’s clearly taken aback when he announces his new ‘ground rules’ for their friendship. He tells her there are to be no more dinners, drinks or training sessions together.
‘Robbo’s gone into selfdefence mode,’ explains Jake.
‘He wants to protect himself, but he’s also angry with himself.’
Jasmine agrees, but the big question remains: Is keeping her distance from Robbo really what she wants?
