FIRST PHOTOS: The Bachelor Australia contestants

Bachelor star Matt obviously has a type, with most of the pictured girls sporting blonde hair. 

The photos of the Bachelor contestants were taken whilst Matt and the girls were filming a group date in Somersby, which we'll all get to see when the reality show airs this year!

It has been reported that Bachelor execs and producers decided to choose Matt for this season of the Channel Ten show because they needed someone 'normal' (and not a celebrity) after the huge fail of Nick Cummins' season last year.

Fans of the dating series will remember that the Honey Badger left everyone fuming after he chose nobody during the finale and walked away from the show a single man.
