A Dutch TV show has dropped a disturbing segment after receiving extreme backlash for asking its contestants to guess whether a woman is fat or pregnant.
The variety game-show entitled, Neem Je Zwespullen mee (which translates to Bring You Bathing Suit,) enraged viewers when it was broadcast for the first time this week.
The controversial segment saw a woman standing on a revolving podium in the middle of the studio, while four guests weighed in on whether or not they thought she was expecting.
In another segment, the male contestants were asked if a woman’s breasts were real or fake.
Viewers took to Twitter to express their disgust at the sexist programming, with one user commenting: “New program on NPO 3. Here four men have to guess whether this woman fat or is pregnant. Fun. Really fun.”
After an online petition to kick the show off the air was formed, the production company released a statement claiming that “through these satirical settings, we laugh off all forms of prejudices.”
