“You’re not seeing everything. She does have another side to her. She’s actually really funny. A lot of the time, it’s just her sense of humour – it’s the delivery coming out really badly. She's funny,” Martha, 30, explains on Real Talk with Holly and Ali.
“I feel like she’s really raw. She does say some things and she can look like she lacks empathy sometimes. [The public] take it for what they hear,” Martha continues.
Having spent a lot of time with Ines since filming wrapped late last year, Martha knows the struggles she's faced and what's been harming her the most.
“I think the thing what really upsets her the most is the racial comments. They hurt her. There was a petition for Ines to leave the country and there was like 53,000 signatures on it. That hurt her. The troll comments. The ones about looks and things like that, she doesn’t care. It’s the racial comments and things like that, that really hurt her the most. That’s understandable,” Martha says.
Primary school teacher Michael, 27, also shared his point of view on the situation.
“People don’t realise that we’re real people. They have to understand that.” he adds.
