US evangelist Billy Graham, well-known for his television preachers that were watched by millions and for counseling presidents, has passes away at the age of 99.
The preacher passed away at his North Carolina home, Jeremy Blue, a spokesman for the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association confirmed.
Graham had long suffered from cancer, pneumonia and other ailments.
Graham was responsible for transforming American religious life through his preaching and activism, and he later became the most widely heard Christian evangelist in history.
He reached more than 200 million through his appearances and millions more through his pioneering use of television and radio.
Many have taken to Twitter to mourn the loss of the influential religious figure.
