Does she have cellulite? Of course she does. As do roughly 90 per cent of all women worldwide irregardless of their health, fitness and size. That's because cellulite, the orange-peel dimpling that appears on skin, particularly bottoms and thighs, is entirely natural.
Indeed, cellulite is simply regular body fat poking through bands of tissue within the skin. Most women are aware that it's part and parcel of being female and having higher body fat than men, but, all the same, most of us would love to send it packing. Maybe even Ashley if she were given the choice.
Even she might be excited to hear about a breakthrough in the treatment of this frustratingly difficult to treat skin scenario. That breakthrough is an injection which is being tested in the US and is so far achieving some pretty impressive results.
Endo International plc (NASDAQ: ENDP) announced positive results today from two identical Phase 3 RELEASE* studies of collagenase clostridium histolyticum (CCH) for the treatment of cellulite in the buttocks.
"Based on our review of the Phase 3 data, we remain confident in our CCH program for cellulite - a condition that makes many women self-conscious and prompts them to seek treatment options," said Matthew Davis, M.D., R.Ph., Endo's Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer.
"If approved, CCH has the potential to be an important new treatment for cellulite and we are excited to take the next steps in that process."
There's more research to be done but CCH is looking good as far as the treatment of cellulite is concerned and frankly, we're pretty damn excited to hear that. If it doesn't get the go-ahead, then maybe we should all take a moment to consider this ... Ashley G has cellulite. And she is perfection!
Not convinced? Here's another picture of the model proving it - girl is nothing less than stunning!
